In the good old days when we still thought that Robin Wood to write all his comics (but already leaked through some indiscretion nippurweb.com.ar a) I wrote a long piece about Wood that ended with a list of his series arrived in Italy. "And we hope not too many stupid things you have written" I said to introduce it on Mute Fucine 51. Here, indeed, I take this opportunity to update the blog and correct some things ...

Savarese ( Lanciostory 1 / 1982)

I Savarese Graziano is one of the "families" the most important of the country. As important and hated to finish slain by a rival family. But Savarese is saved, or rather was pardoned because of his frail appearance and harmless: more than a gesture of scorn pity. Crime, drama and storytelling training blend and overlap in this unforgettable series, designed by a resounding Mandrafina (which just about Savarese led to its final maturation stroke). The first set of Wood to appear in Italy was a revelation, but Eura is only incidentally interested in the writer and the reason for its publication was another.

In the early '80s material from Argentina (from Skorpio of Ediciones Record) was sent to the Euro programmatically and sipped at the same time, the crisis in the industry that has invested in some markets Roman led the publisher to look elsewhere, and perhaps more favorable economic conditions, material worthy of publication. Reprinted in full in the insert on Lanciostory (in two volumes, No. 3 of 1992 to 35 in 1993 and from 31/95 to 52/96) is currently being revived in the series Euracomix . The Italian version is faithful to the original only until 23 th episode, after the four strips will be reinstalled in step three and some items will be deleted or modified.
